Adding padel courts to a commercial property is exciting, but the best projects begin before the court system is selected. A successful padel project starts with understanding the site, the business goal, and the player experience the venue wants to create.

Foundation planning is another major consideration. Padel courts require a stable, level base designed to support the structure, glass, mesh, turf, and long-term player use. Outdoor courts also require proper drainage planning so the surface can perform well over time.

Venue type also matters. A club may prioritize member programming and league play. A resort may focus on guest experience and visual presentation. A developer may want a premium amenity that supports lifestyle positioning. A school or university may need durability, safety, and recreational flexibility.

The court model should match the project. A classic club court may be ideal for daily recreational use. A panoramic court may be better for hospitality or premium club settings where visibility and presentation matter. A tournament-style court may fit venues focused on events, competition, or flagship presentation.

The biggest mistake is treating padel as a simple product purchase. The court system matters, but so does the full environment around it. The most successful projects think about how players arrive, where they gather, how programming will work, how the court will be maintained, and how the venue will create repeat participation.
